San Mateo, CA – Ron Segura, president of Segura & Associates is continuing his tour of Central and South America where he is one of the presenters at the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Latin America 2017 tradeshow.
The Latin America tradeshow is held every other year and is considered the largest gathering for the professional cleaning industry in Latin America.
This is the second time Segura has presented at this show and he says that he is discovering many building service contractors (BSCs) in this part of the world have undergone considerable change in the past few years.
“The first thing that struck me is how young everyone is,” he says. “An entire new generation of BSCs have taken over the industry. Overall, they are very professional; many of the businesses they run are top-notch; and they seem to absorb [jansan] education like water.”
Segura also noted the following:
Growth: “You see building construction everywhere, which can only be good news for BSCs.”
Techno-savvy. They have incorporated all types of new electronic technology into their cleaning operations, management, marketing, and business operations.
Green cleaning and sustainability. “The industry here is moving very quickly to become more environmentally responsible,” says Segura. “As in the U.S., they believe it is the wave of the future and want to get onboard now.”
Segura adds that the entire business climate is changing in Mexico as well, especially in the larger cities. “What I see happening is parts of the country becoming world-class financial and business centers. This means growth and opportunities for BSCs here and I could feel the optimism they have.”
